Throwback post. Stumbled over some pictures from one of my first concerts ever. It was a concert at Blå featuring one of my favorite artists; The Cool kids. At that time I didn't have my own camera nor did I blog. I just borrowed my sisters point and shot cam for the event. I can safely say that I've become better with a cam, but I did manage to spice up these pics though with some post editing hehe.
I remember being so excited because I had become a rather big fan of their music after von Osten introduced it to me at work one day. Chuck Inglish and Mikey Rocks ftw. It was a rather surreal show, at least for me. It started with Mikey Rocks stage diving into the stage.. haha.. and them just killing it on the mics. I remember being so impressed by the songs, but also by the gear.. I know its vain, but hey.. at least I'm honest. The chalkline jacket Chuck was wearing with them Jordan XIII's were on point, and so were the Air Jordan 1's that Sir Michael Rocks were wearing. The outfits were just going to get better though. At one point during the concert Chuck had lost his beanie in the crowd, and he was searching for it. You already know I found it and gave it back, and because of that he told me to give out a shout out on the mic. I gave big ups to them, The Halo Halo of course, and I yelled out that my name was Mikee too... haha.. weird, but everybody was actually feelin' it.. hahah.. I know I'm full of myself.. but the best part was when we gave them some The HaloHalo pins that they could wear, and they did. In the middle of their show they stopped and put it on. Swear I was so happy at that time.. swear the outfits become sicker.. haha. The Cool Kids x The Halo Halo.. I can wish right?
Yup yup, anyways.. the concert was dope and the night was more than I could ever ask for. However, no one knew it was going to get better. After the concert we just chilled, gave the artists props for a great show and was about to leave. But then in some weird way we ended up going to Cafe Sara instead with The Cool Kids and DJ viPJ (Filipino reppin' haha) to eat and grab some beers. I'm no groupie, but I must say it was rather cool to see how down to earth they were. I remember Mikey Rock and von Osten having a heavy debate about who would beat who in Soul Calibur haha. It was a pretty crazy night. Ended up just walking around in the streets of Oslo and conversing.. haha. I had mos def a night that I will never forget. I don't even know if this even sounded cool or anything.. I guess you had to be there.
Big ups to The Cool Kids! To The Carps that was the warm-up act, and to the boys of JUICY..!!
BAWS!
