INTRODUCTION: BACON MANIA has been spreading like a virus all over town. Due to this alarming situation, I’ve decided to share with you some of the foodies that you have to watchout for! Better try it, before its too late! Most of them are on a limited time only. So march down to your nearest food chain or truck before they go on extinction!
TOP 5 HOE-HOE FOOD OF THE WEEK:
@ #5 BACON MANIA TRUCK’S (BACON BALL DUO -- BACON MIGNON BALL WITH BLEU CHEESE & BACON WRAPPED PEANUT BUTTER AND JELLY ON WONDER BREAD) – Both were delicious and finger-licking good. The meat and blue cheese were pretty incredible together. The steak and blue cheese is well-seasoned, very succulent, and tender juicy. Also, the bacon is cooked perfectly. However, I personally liked the texture inside better than the texture of the bacon. But my favorite between the two is the bacon wrapped peanut butter jelly sandwich. I mean PB&J by itself is already yummy but adding the bacon dimension is out of this world! And the best part is they use crunchy peanut butter. The combination of sweet and salty is on point.

@ #4 LARD-ON TRUCK’S (LARK BROWNIE WITH BACON NUTELLA SPREAD) – The dessert is incredibly decadent.. The sweetness is just right on point. The combination of molten Nutella and the saltiness of the bacon is a match made in heaven. Moreover, the taste of it is so rich and dense that it will send you to food coma in every bite! GETS 4 HOE HOES!
@ #3 LARD-ON TRUCK’S (BACO – HASH BROWN POTATOES AND MELTED CHEDDAR CHEESE IN A BACON SHELL) – Comes with a side of horseradish and sour cream with bacon bits. The horseradish helped enhance the flavor of the baco. It cuts the potential greasiness of potato, cheese and bacon. The bacon shell is pretty crispy and meshes well with the potatoes and cheese. The flavor is pretty rich and will raise your blood pressure in minutes! One word to describe this sucker….OINKYLICIOUS! GETS 4 ½ HOE HOES!
@ #2 COOLHAUS ICE CREAM TRUCK’S (MAPLE WAFFLE AND WHITE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE WITH BROWNIE BUTTER AND CANDIED BACON ICE CREAM SANDWICH) – The cookie is pretty chewy and flavored-well. Don’t be fooled by the bacon, it just adds a bit of salty depth to the sweet that makes you feel your in CLOUD 9. Also, there are a lot of different taste dimensions you’ll discover in every bite. It’s like a party in your mouth! In addition, the taste is decadent and mouthwatering. The combination tastes magical. Dessert Heaven to the fullest! GETS 4 ½ HOE HOES!
@ #1 DENNY’S DINER - (BACONALIA’S SPECIAL MAPLE BACON SUNDAE) – This dessert features maple flavored syrup, vanilla ice cream, and a generous sprinkle of diced hickory-smoked bacon on top of the sundae and within the dessert as well. The ice cream is very soft to begin with, and it was pretty mushy before it was gone. The maple syrup is richly sweet but it mixes well with the saltiness of the bacon so it balances out. The saltiness and the crunch of the bacon worked perfectly well with the smooth, creamy ice cream as well. The bacon is cooked perfectly crisp, and it crumbles easily. In addition, it stays crunchy until the end. Basically, it’s like eating some sort of salty candy in the sundae. This dessert runs on a limited time only and that’s why it’s number one on my list.
